The Edgehill Survey was carried out under arduous ground and weather conditions, and as such, invariably both the team and their equipment suffered considerable wear and tear. As volunteers, all members have to cover their own costs. Three members were using Minelab detectors, including two Explorers and so Minelab were contacted and asked if they could support the survey. They kindly offered to supply, free of all charges, all consumable spares, if ever needed for the Minelab machines. As an added bonus, Minelab supplied on loan, a new Quattro MP detector, for sole use by the survey team until the end of the survey in 2006, and also for use by any invited guests..
