This tomb is to the memory of Sir Richard Coft, Knt, Sheriff of Herefordshire 1471-72-77-86. Fought at Mortimer's Cross 1461, Tewkesbury 1471, Governor of Ludlow Castle. Created Knight Banneret after the Battle of Stoke 1487. Died July 29 1509.

The memorial has been well preserved. It is in the family church in the grounds of Croft Castle. It was visited by a contributor in August 2024
