Condition Description:
Tomb effigy is in good condition and damage has been repaired to the chin. Graffiti has been carved into parts of the marble.
Memorial Notes:
According to Bramley (Peter Bramley, 'The Wars of the Roses: A field guide and companion', (Stroud: Sutton Publishing, 2007), p.92) Lovell (b.1397) was active in resisting Cade's rebellion in 1450. According to a hand written notice in the church he also served in the navy under Henry V, fought in France, and died in 1455.
