The effigies are entire apart from odd chips off them, probably repaired at some time in the past.
Memorial Notes:
Herbert fought at and was captured at the battle of Edgcote 1469 and subsequently executed. The Herbert Chapel at St.Mary's Priory has several Herbert tombs including Sir Richard's parents William ap Thomas and Gwladys Gam and his nephew Richard Herbert of Ewyas, father of William Herbert, Earl of Pembroke (1551). There are storyboards for all the tombs.
