Edmund Tudor died in Carmarthen after a perod of captivity in November 1457. Poetic evidence suggests his tomb was installed fairly quickly and that it was a simple alabaster chest tomb. His son Henry VII had it replaced with a more impressive Purbeck marble and brass tomb in about 1500. Details in M.
