Sir Thomas was the second son of Sir John Seymour of Penhow. Thomas fought with his father at the battle of Tewkesbury (1471) and both were killed. The Abbey Chronicle records Thomas as buried in the Churchyard but does not note if his father was buried at the Abbey or his body returned to the family estates.
