There is very little known about this Henry, except that he was a younger member of a landed Devonshire family who may have joined the Lancastrian army in Devon when Margaret made her way through there on her march to the battle of Tewkesbury (1471). It may be that he was one of the many that owed service to Sir John Courtenay.
Henry was killed during the fighting and was buried next to the Delvers under the south aisle of the abbey at the foot of the chancel arch.
