NEARBY BATTLEFIELDS

Of the battlefields featured on this website the nearest are: Naseby,  just over 20 miles to the south east, and Blore Heath more than 30 miles to the north west. However the most appropriate linked visit would be to Stoke Field, even though it is nearly 45 miles away, near to Newark on Trent. This was the major battle which followed two years after Bosworth, where Henry secured his throne against the last real challenge from a Yorkist army.

OTHER SITE OF MILITARY INTEREST

A visit to Bosworth could also be linked with a visit to Warwick Castle (32 miles). Of particular interest will be 'Kingmaker' exhibition on Richard Neville, Earl of Warwick - the story of the most influential figure in the earlier phases of the Wars of the Roses.
