A Resource Assessment of English battlefields

Phase I of this project ran from 2006-2008 and examined how material evidence for battles and the landscape in which they took place can be better integrated into the investigation and management of the UK’s historic environment. The project was undertaken on behalf of English Heritage through a partnership between the University of Leeds (Institute for Medieval Studies) and the Battlefields Trust.
