At about 10:00am the Parliamentary army, led by Lord Fairfax clashed with the Royalist vanguard and drove them back ovee Whiskett Hill (the high ground in the distance). As Lord Fairgax's army reached the crest of the hill, they saw the Royalist army deploying onto Adwalton Moor below them. the Parliamentarians continued to advance through the enclosed fields until they reached the edge of the Moor (beyond the first row of houses to your front) [Cont]
