PRINCE RUPERT’S MOUND
During the second siege of Lichfield (April 1643),
Royalist Artillery Battery,
Commanded by Prince Rupert of the Rhine,
Was sited close to this location to bombard
Lichfield Cathedral which was occupied by
Parliamentarian troops.
