In the Lady Chapel, was against the North Wall, a Monument of Major General Lawrence Crawford, kill’d at the Siege of Hereford on the Parliament Side: He being Commander of the Scotch Army, buried here Sept. 5. 1645. which justifying the Rebel Cause, was defaced, and entirely taken down after the Restauration. The Inscription on it being printed in Le Neve, I shall not repeat it here.

Here lyeth interred the Hon. Maj. Gen. LAU.CRAW-
FORD first Major General to the E. of March next
Maj. General to the Scotts Army, who dec. 16. Aug.
at Hereford & is now here interred this 5. Of Sept.
1645.
