Shows no 'wear' to the inscription and the while is excellent. The Arms are not painted but show no signs that they ever were so.
Memorial Notes:
Newman Dictionary 685 (Peter Newman, Royalist Officers in England and Wales, 1642-1660 (New York & London: Garland Publishing Inc, 1981). Harris was the brother of Honnor Harris the heroine and central character of Du Maurier's 'The King's General'. Honnor is also mentioned on the memorial but has no other (visible) monument in the Church.
