Remains desecrated, memorial destroyed 1793 and the remains thrown into a mass grave. In early 19th century the remains were reburied in the crypt of the Basilica of Saint-Denis, where there is a plaque listing the remains of those buried there.
Her heart had been buried at the Visitation Convent Chapel at Chaillot, France, also destroyed during the French Revolution.
