Battle of Myton 1319
Saturday October 14th 2023
Join Louise Whittaker for a walk around the battlefield of Myton to hear about this Scottish/English clash during the period of the First Scottish War of Independence.
Meet at 11am outside St Mary's Church, Myton-on-Swale, YO61 2QY. The walk is just over a mile, largely around Myton Pastures. Stout footwear is required as the going is uneven and can be muddy.
Free to Battlefields Trust members. Suggested donation £5 for non-members, towards the work of the Trust.
NB Please park on the grass verges in the village. There are no toilet facilities at Myton.
