Condition Description:

The stone is incised with a quote by William Sedgwick written in 1655. The infill of the incisions, in a white material, has degraded.

Memorial Notes:

The engraved stones trail was created as a permanent memorial to mark the quatercentenary of Cromwell's birth, commissioned in 1999 and installed in 2000. The trail was commissioned by Huntingdonshire District Council and the stones created by David Kindersley. Each stone has a quotation about Oliver Cromwell selected by Professor John Morrill.
