Bosworth veteran John Cheney in Salisbury Cathedral

Civil War Salisbury and the cathedral military monuments

Saturday 18th June 2022

Wessex Region has organised a visit to Salisbury.  There will be a short walk covering the civil war battles in Salisbury followed by a visit to the cathedral (admission fee applies) when Julian Humphrys will talk to us about its fascinating military monuments.

There will then be time for lunch followed by a chance to visit one or more of the museums in the cathedral close – notably the Rifles Berkshire and Wiltshire Museum.

Meet in front of the cathedral at 10.00am.

Please email Julian using the contact details below if you would like to attend
