Enhance battlefield entries on the National Heritage List
2 February 2020
The National Heritage List identifies all the designated heritage sites in England, including the 47 nationally important registered battlefields. The Trust is keen for its members to enhance the list as it judges that the more people are shown to care about battlefields, the better they will be protected
Enhancing the list involves adding photos and/or commentary to a national heritage list entry and doing so will help raise the profile of battlefields on the list. To do this a contributor needs a heritage passport which takes about five minutes to complete online and is free. Full details about how to do this can be found at https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/enrich-the-list/
