Battle of Chalgrove 1643
Sunday 19th August 2018
Simon Marsh will lead a short walk around the battlefield of Chalgrove, discussing how John Hampden came to be mortally wounded and the current position on plans to build houses in the vicinty of the battlefield
Meet at the John Hampden monument (OX44 7PW) on Monument Road at 10:30am.
The walk is free for Battlefield Trust and John Hampden Society members as well as Chalgrove residents. A £5 donation to the work of the Trust will otherwise be requested.
