The Great Civil War in the Tees Valley
Saturday 14th March 2020
The Battlefields Trust presentds a series of Civil War related events in Stockton-on-Tees
1pm to 2pm High Street: Newcastle Garrison Living History Group Civil War arms and equipment display - demonstrations of musketry, artillery, pike drill with associated talk about equipment and weapons. Bob Beagrie will read extracts from Civil Insolencies
2pm to 4pm: Drake the Bookshop. Bob Beagrie and Mark Turnbull will sign their books purchased in the bookshop
4pm to 7pm: Georgian Theatre. (small charge) Phil Philo will talk on the Civil War in the tees Valley, Mark Turnbull on the motivation and inspiration behind his historical novel 'Allegiance of Blood', and Bob Beagrie will perform extracts from his collection of poetry 'Civil Insolencies'. There will also be a small Battlefields Trust display with a few artefacts and Mark Hornsby will display his model of the battle of Guisborough.
