Battlefields Trust Study Day - The Earls of Warwick and Battle

This event has been postponed following revised government advice on containing Coronavirus. A new date will be found once the current situation improves.
A one day Battlefields Trust study day examining two of the Earls of Warwick - Richard Neville, the Kingmaker, and Richard Beauchamp - and their experience of medieval battle. The day's programme is as follows:
10:00-10:30 – Coffee and Registration
10:30 -10:35 – Welcome and introduction
10:35 – 11:20 – Richard Neville, Earl of Warwick, warrior and kingmaker (Phil Steele)
11:20-12:05 – The Earl of Warwick, two different styles of leadership at the battles of St Albans 1455 and 1461? (Dr Peter Burley)
12:05 – 12:50 – The battle of Northampton 1460 (Mike Ingram)
12:50-13:35 – Lunch (to be purchased locally)
13:35-14:20 – ‘Searching for Barnet’ the battle of Barnet 1471 and its archaeology (Sam Wilson)
14:20-15:05 – Richard Beauchamp and battle in the Marches (Anthony Rich)
15:05- 15:25 – Tea and Coffee
15:25 – 16:20 – Visit to St Mary’s church Warwick to see Richard Beauchamp’s tomb (12 minute walk either way)
Venue: Coten End Primary School, Coten End, Warwick, CV34 4NP
Tickets: £15 (£10 for Battlefields Trust and Northamptonshire Battlefields Society members)

Refunds are available up to 30 days before the event, but the Eventbrite booking fee (£1.37 for discounted tckets and £1.76 for non-discounted tickets) is non-refunable. In the unlikely event the study day is cancelled full refunds will be made.
Free car parking is available at the venue.
