Battle of Bosworth 1485
Sunday 8th September 2019
Join Mike Ingram for a walk of one of the most decisive battles in English history.
Meet at the Bosworth Battlefield Heritage Centre at 11:00.
There is a parking charge of £2.50 per car in the car park. The group rate for the Heritage Centre is £6 per head or £5.25 for concessions (students and over 60s).
We will have time to look at the displays and some time for lunch at the Tithe Barn. If anyone wants to make a meal booking their number is 01455 291048.
We will then meet at the memorial on Ambion Hill at 1300 for the start of the battlefield tour. Arrangements have been made with Mrs Gill Oliver for us to park at her farm. It will cost £2 a head for parking at the farm.
Mike will then lead us around the sites discovered in 2009 by Glenn Foard and his team, which pinpointed the location where the battle actually took place. Mike will also outline some of the theories from his new book and you will have the opportunity to purchase a copy and get it signed.
