Battle of Edgehill 1642 - Walk and Talk

Join Simon Marsh for a walk across the battefield of Edghill, the first major encounter of the Civil War, followed by lunch and a talk about the battle.
Find out about why the royalist failed to win what should have been a decisive encounter for them. There will also be an opportunity to visit the exhibition in the church about the battle and its impact locally.
Meet at Radway Church (CV35 0UE) at 10:30am for the walk which is free to Battlefields Trust members. Non-members are requested to make a £5 donation to the work of the Trust.
The going is flat across fields and along roads and pathways. The walk will last about two and a half hours.
Following the walk a soup and sandwich lunch will be available if pre-booked in advance at a cost of £5
A talk about the battle by Simon Marsh will be held in Radway church at 2:30pm. A charge of £5 will be made for this, to include tea and biscuits, with proceeds going to the Radway Events Group and the Edgehill Exhibition in Radway Church.
Tickets for the talk can be purchased in advance or with cash on the day, but lunch needs to be pre-booked,
