Development Threat to Winceby Battlefield

Development Threat to Winceby (1643) Battlefield:                                                   
 
The Battlefields Trust has been made aware of a planning application to install 600 solar panels on the registered battlefield of Winceby.  The Trust has written to East Lindsey District Council to oppose this development because a) it seems to be contrary to National Planning Policy Framework guidance; b) the location of the solar panels would probably be on the area of the battlefield where the parliamentarian cavalry formed-up; and c) the setting of the battlefield would be adversely affected if the solar panels were installed.  Details of the application can be found at the link to the planning website below
