Runnymede and Magna Carta

Sunday 25th June 2017

Harvey Watson will be leading a walk around the site of Runnymede, sometimes described as 'the very soul of England'. It was here that in June 1215 King John was forced to agree to Magna Carta. During the walk we will visit the various memorials at Runnymede, including the 'Commomwealth Air Forces Memorial' , one of the largest memorials to the Second World War in Britain.

Meet in the Car-Park at the National Trust tearooms, (Post code TW20 0AE). At 11.00 on the 25th June
