Sir Jacob Astley's prophetic words as he sat dejected as the defeated royalist commander is probably the best known aspect of the battle of Stow on the Wold.  Join Simon Marsh to learn more about the desperate royalist march from Worcester to try and reach the King and why dogged determination by Parliament's commanders brought them to battle.  Simon will also discuss the recent archaeological work the Trust has conducted on the battle and what it means for locating the site of the action.
